Hello World is what developers write when they create a new application. That would be this post.
Sue, The purpose of this first post is to test the install and offer an invitation to you. I own this domain and it is perfect for the application that I have in mind. It can scale to be used across the country by appraisers and others who are interested in appraisal issues. Here is an example of what I am talking about.
I think that we can segment the market and focus on Northern Michigan real estate issues. The web site will mostly be links to other resources on subjects of interest. The trouble with all the real estate posts in this world is that there are just too many of them, and they aren’t vetted. The purpose of this website is to investigate regional issues with chats and links so the accumulated knowledge of participants is online and easily retrievable. You can check out www.tourguizhou.com to see how this stuff can come together into a coherent blog. For the first few months everyone who wants it can have a username and password. Some will be allowed to post, while others will only be allowed to post comments. If we get a following, eventually we could charge membership fees, or even request donations.
Gerry, I am trying to recruit Sue, a Certified General Appraiser — recently retired, to work on this project with me. I want you to help me too. Later on, we can open it up to verified appraisers so others can post, contribute
, or otherwise assist in this effort.
What about this idea? I think it is a great way for older appraisers to stay active (like me) when they get sick of doing mortgage work.
